T1 traces its roots back to 2002 when it was first formed under the name "MiTH" (Made in Thailand). It was initially a StarCraft clan that gained popularity in Thailand's esports scene before relocating to Seoul, South Korea in 2004. In 2012, the team rebranded as "SK Telecom T1" after being acquired by SK Telecom, a South Korean telecommunications company.

Success in LoL

After focusing on StarCraft for several years, T1 eventually transitioned to LoL in 2012. They quickly became a dominant force in the league, winning their very first tournament, the Azubu The Champions Spring 2013. They continued to establish themselves as one of the strongest teams in the world with their consistent performance in various tournaments.

In 2013, T1 won the League of Legends World Championship, the highest honor in the LoL competitive scene. They defeated the Chinese team Royal Club 3-0 in the final match in front of a live audience of over 32,000 spectators in the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The Rise of Faker

T1's success can largely be attributed to their star player, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok. Known as one of the best players in League of Legends history, Faker is a 3-time world champion and has won multiple MVP awards. He first joined T1 as a rookie in 2013 and has since become the face of the team.
